Hello!

A resounding success! That was the verdict on the John Wrights Band recent tour of Germany and a massive THANK YOU is sent to all the audiences and organisers who supported the boys.

It was always going to be different and audiences werent quite sure what to expect. However, everyone agreed that Pete, Greg and Dave did a fantastic job a job of which John would have been immensely proud.

These loyal and amazing musicians not only paid a marvellous tribute to the musical maestro but also demonstrated their own unique talents, sensitivity and humour! So much so that organisers were eager to book again for 2009.

Special thanks go to Thea and Volker Woern, Ilona Welder and Sigi and Bernd Uhrig in Germany -- all special friends who worked very hard to help keep the show on the road.

The tour also included a concert in Poland - a first for JWB. Again this was an overwhelming success and plans are in hand for repeat performances. Please keep an eye on the website for up-dated news announcements.

This weekend, the boys set off on a two-week tour of Holland starting at Sneek on Saturday 13th. We all hope to see the same support that they have received in the UK and in Germany. Gigs and full details are available on the Concert/Tours page, http://www.johnwrightmusic.co.uk/gigs_frame.htm

Dont forget that John Wright albums are available at all concerts and include the latest CD Long Hellos . . . Short Goodbyes.

Dennis Dunning - Photographic Artist   www.dennisdunning.com

Professionally Denis has a background in education and the arts. He has studied and still teaches in several colleges in the north of England. He has been an exhibiting artist for many years and has several exhibitions running currently. He has been instrumental in the launching of art galleries offering a platform to establish artists fresh out of college. His interest in cloud formation and astral landscapes formed the foundation of his MA from Sunderland University. This later led to a fascination with the faces and characters which form the musical culture of British society, with its origins founded in the folk tradition of social commentary. The charm of these characters is to be found in both their quaint character and their down to earth honesty. This study is still a work in progress for Denis and it has led him to folk clubs, jazz clubs, rock pubs and festivals to gather a broad spectrum of material for the public to browse and appreciate long after the occasion has passed into memory. This is the nature of photography, the recording of a moment in time for posterity.

The content of this body of work is a visual display of sensory responses to the world of the artist.Sensory, being visual expressions of musical and environmental influences. Hence the galleries contain images of both people and landscape.

Denis is available to cover any photo opportunity by commission. For contact details please press the contact button. Images will be added to at regular intervals following musical events. Hope you enjoy visiting the site and if you see me at any concerts please come and say hello.
